Is the period of validity and stay of Chinese visa unclear?

‘How long can I stay in China?’
‘When is my visa valid?’
‘How long can I stay in China for the first time after visa extension?’
In the daily immigration and border inspection work, we found that some foreign friends often misjudged the validity period or stay (residence) period of Chinese visas, and accidentally turned into illegal residence in China. So next, let’s take a look at how to calculate the validity of the Chinese visa and the period of stay (residence)!
First let’s find out
What is visa validity and stay
Take the old Chinese visa issued overseas as an example
Validity period (enter before / expiry date): refers to the valid time range of the visa holder’s visa entry. Unless otherwise specified by the issuing authority, the visa takes effect from the date of issue and expires at 24:00 Beijing time on the day of expiry.
Duration of each stay: It refers to the time limit for the permit holder to stay for each entry, and it is calculated from the day after entry.
When can you enter the country at the latest?
How long to stay after entering the country depends on the length of stay
This is the younger brother of the previous visa-new Chinese visa
Entrusted by our embassy, consulate or Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Issued by other overseas agencies
Validity period: December 18, 2017 to March 18, 2018 at 24:00, the date of issue (December 18) can enter China.

Extended, reissued, reissued visit visa
Stay period (pay attention to the information in the remarks column, the specific situation is slightly different, take this visa as an example):
(1) For the first time, you can stay until July 15, 2013;
(2) If you re-enter the visa for the second time, the stay period will become 30 days!
This visa is a residence permit for foreigners
The residence permit is valid for the same period of residence. Holders can enter and leave China as many times as possible from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014, but they must leave China before 24:00 on June 30.
This section is the new version of permanent residence permit for foreigners
This is amazing! Foreigners holding a permanent residence permit for foreigners have no restrictions on their stay in China. But remember to apply for a replacement within one month before the expiration of the above certificate!
If it is a short-term Chinese visa, the holder can enter China with the visa from the date of issuance of the visa, and the stay period starts from the next day after entry.
If it is a residence permit or permanent residence permit, you only need to pay attention to the validity period, and you can enter and exit China as many times as you like.
