Gongwangfu Garden, also known as Cuijinyuan, was built in the Ming Dynasty according to experts research. The park is about 150 meters long from north to south, 170 meters wide from east to west, covers an area of 28,000 square meters, and has 31 ancient buildings with an area of 2,800 square meters.
King Gong s Mansion Garden is facing north and south, and it is surrounded by mountains and waters. It is surrounded by Longlong Water , not far from Yinding Bridge. King Gong s Mansion and its garden were the residences of university scholars and dwellers during the Qianlong period, and have a history of more than 200 years. In fact, from the Kangxi imperial style blessing stele in the garden, the wooden structure and the technique of stacking mountains and stones are characteristic of Ming Dynasty craftsmanship . Jiaqing was convicted for four years, and the house was confiscated and given to Qing County s Wang Yongfu, which is actually Qing Dynasty s palace. In the first year of Xianfeng, it was given to Prince Gong Yi, henceforth called Prince Gong Mansion and Prince Gong Mansion Garden.
In order to rebuild the garden, Prince Wang Yixin gathered hundreds of skilled craftsmen and artists, integrating the southern Jiangnan garden art with the northern architectural pattern. Huixi Western Architecture and Chinese classical garden architecture were added into the garden, with additional mountains and stone forests and colorful paintings. Flowers paved, trees lined. Ming Corridor, birds singing and cicadas sing. This chic and elegant garden is titled Golden Garden by Prince Gong. This garden was once the crown of more than one hundred palaces of the capital and can be called the fairy land on earth, the pearl of Shichahai. Gongwangfu Garden is listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit and is a national tourist attraction.
Gongwangfu rockery, this rockery is made of glutinous rice slurry, very strong. Two cylinders are set on the mountain, and the bottom of the tank is connected to the rockery by adding water to the tank to increase the humidity in the courtyard. All covered with moss.
In the middle of the rockery, there is a blessing inscription written by Emperor Kangxi for his mother s birthday. This is one of the Three Musts of King Gong s Mansion.
