Celebrating, Promoting and Consuming Our Own: Meet Blaise B, Cameroonian Producer/Singer/Song Writer and Vocal Coach

Blaise B is a Cameroonian Producer/Singer/Song Writer and Vocal Coach, from the Batibo sub-division in the North West Region of Cameroon.

He started singing when he was 10 years old, and was a member of a gospel group 'The Breakthru Voices", where he was the lead chorister. This beautiful group recorded an album 'Lord I'm Sorry', which many people still enjoy till date.
In 2009, he joined the thrilling vocal group of four(Salatiel, Rude Bway, Myra and himself Blaise B) called 'DA-THRILL'. They won the Nescafe African Revelation in 2010, and travelled to 8 African countries for the Nescafe African Revelation.

Upon their return to the country, Blaise B officially decided to make a name for himself in the music industry, and choosed music as the source of his daily bread in 2012.

In his own words, before the divine glory dew dropped on him, anointing him to succeed in what he is presently doing in grand style today, Blaise B  said he was "That kindna man wey e b di worry quartier with noise in the name of beats making now producer Akwandor" - the kind of person, considered a noise maker in the name of beat making is now the Producer of Akwandor.
In February 2013, Blaise B created his record label called “Akwandor Music', where he worked as a producer/beatmaker/record/studio Engineer.

In November 2014, he produced and released the audio of his first Hit single ‘EPOSI’ which took him to the podium of fame in both the Cameroon and Internation music industry.

He released the video of 'Eposi' in 2015, which was a milestone in his career, and which till date remains his BEST SELLER.

Blaise B recorded so many songs and surprisingly people know just few of them. They include 'Eposi', 'Marry You', 'Clando' and 'Front and back', which he released under Label Alpha Better Records, 'Pour moi', 'Ont fait comment?', 'Mama'  Featurings Alpha Better, his label.
The artist says his low moment in the Music Industry, is when he has to shoot a new video, because it breaks him down a lot. But producing carries him to the peak of his emotions and brings out the best in him.
On what motivates him to write a song: Blaise B says:
"My family background, where I grew up, the environment and the people".

On choosing his beats, the Clando singer says:
"I'm one of those producers who don't programme beats/instrumentals and keep . You send me a sample of your song (voice note ), I create and choose the perfect sound for you".

On the songs that has fetched him millions of F CFA, Blaise B confirms that he made some cool cash from 'Eposi' and 'Clando', but production is the deal that loads his wallet more than music.
In an industry where controversy is the order of the day, and management a total chao, we asked Blaise B how he would change things, if he had the opportunity to be at the top management, and he said:

"I would give more light and exposure to all 237 artists (Financing mega projects, putting Cameroon on the map) for example look at what Glo Naija does with Nigerian artists".
Role Model
"🤔Petit pays' Undisputed (because when he sings Live ,its like the DJ is playing the audio directly from the CD player".

Blaise B is one artist everyone would love to have on his/her event, but public opinion say bringing him to your event is a high way to bankruptcy, but the artist justifies and says:
"🤔I don't make negotiations so i can't tax high but my manager can 😂".
In 2017, Blaise B was nominated at the Afrimma awards 2017 under the category Most promising Artist in Africa.

As of now, he's got ongoing talks on endorsing some juicy deals though he says the other parties are not speaking his language.

He has many good surprises on the horizon, and says he will be releasing new songs as time unfolds.

Blaise B is managed by Nginyu Isabella, and you can either contact her, or Alpha Better Records for any business deal with him.

To his colleagues, who thinks music is a child's play, and who does it for fun and not for its purpose,Blaise B has this message for them:
"For those who know me, I'm proud to say I have my sound , when its drops everyone knows its Blaise B. Please Find your music (sound)".
