French President Emmanuel Macron sends Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne to discuss the anglophone crisis with President Paul Biya

At the request of French President Emmanuel Macron, the French Minister of State attached to the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean Baptiste Lemoyne will be in Cameroon on June 28 and 29, to discuss the current anglophone crisis with President Paul Biya.

Sources say Mr. Lemoyne will reportedly be visiting the conflicting anglophone regions, where he intends to hold talks with administrative officials.

Last week, rumour had it that some diplomats were in the war zone under cover, to get first hand awareness of on-the ground realities.
