One of Cameroons most refined entertainer Stephanie Tum has reacted to claims that the Cameroon Film Industry (CFI) Head Office at Mile 17 Buea  has been closed for the past one week.

In a Facebook post of yesterday May Tuesday May 8, 2018, Roland FomumdamFounder & CEO at GreenHouse Ventures Ltd, wrote that he was at the CFI's Head Office, and  that the office had been closed for about one week.

Reacting to the post, delectable actress Stephanie Tum, who did not buy the idea and how the content of the post was displayed, explained that the said office is not fully operational,  and that it is presently undergoing some refurbishments for activities to fully kick off there.

She frowned at the many unjustified critics and allegations heaped on Cameroonian film makers and called on all to learn to respect efforts that people make to get things done properly.

Read her reaction below:

'Good morning beautiful people,

I woke up this morning and found this post and I just have to put this out there.

NB: It's not a Rant.

I know a lot of you don't understand the amount of work , energy, hard earned money, tears , sleepless nights , sacrifices etc that goes into film making, that is why it is so easy for frail minds to bash us, make mockery of us and throw shade at us at any given opportunity.

We are not perfect , infact we fail a lot as we struggle to grow but we never give up, we keep pushing , learning from our mistakes . Sometimes we are stubborn and don't easily take to criticisms maybe because it sometimes comes off as insults but for the most part we understand it is from a place of tough love for those who truly care about the craft/industry.

I respect the author of this post and his wonderful venture but I am disappointed at the sarcasm in his post which clearly goes to highlight the purpose of his post and the attention he wanted to draw. I might be wrong but the hand writing is clear.

Like I mentioned in my response, This office is not fully functional and is undergoing repairs to be properly set up. The purpose of this office is to help fascilitate certain administrative issues for film makers and also to serve as a sales point for newly released movies and tickets for premieres, to bring our movies closer to the public especially those interested in buying the hard copies. It may sound stupid to some of you. But it's a start and a humble begining considering this is an effort financially sponsored by the hard earned money of individuals who are passionate about the craft and are doing everything for it's growth.

Only a frail mind will make mockery of such efforts.
I ask again, was the sarcasm at the end of your question really necessary??
I wonder how you would have felt if someone who didn't get you, made a mockery of you when you returned from overseas to start your farming venture.

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW, FILM MAKING IS A RESPECTABLE JOB LIKE ANY OTHER JOB!!!
AND IT HAS IT'S FLAWS LIKE ALL OTHER JOBS OUT THERE.

OUR JOB COMES WITH THE GLITZ AND GLAMOUR MOST OF YOU HATE SEEING AND FEEL IT'S A SHOW OFF,
IT'S SHOWBIZ GUYS... IT'S PART OF THE BUSINESS!!!
JUST SO YOU KNOW, BEHIND THE SCENES IS NOT GLAMOUROUS AT ALL. IT'S ALL HARD WORK AND SWEAT!!!!

The lesson here is we should learn to respect the efforts people put into their crafts even when it looks obsolete to us.
We might look stupid now but when the time comes you will tag along as you did with the Nigerian Entertainment Industry.
We want Rome but we forget to know Rome wasn't built in a day.

You All will be ok and we will too.
Ps: If you have a problem with any of my post please the block or unfriend button is very alive to be put into use'.
