Rome appoints Rev Fr. Marcellin Ndambyemb as new Bishop of the Batouri Diocese

Pope Francis has appointed Marcellin Ndambyemb as the new Bishop to the Eastern Region of Cameroon. This announcement was made public by the Archbishop of Douala who doubles as President of the National Epicopal Conference of Cameroon Samuel Kleda.

The newly appointed prelate will be filling the two years empty gap left by  Bishop Faustin Ambassa Ndjodo, present Archbishop of Garoua, and  will be incharge of the Batouri Diocese.

Bishop Marcellin Ndambyemb was a priest in the Douala Arch diocese, where he served as the Director of the Our Lady of the Nations College. 

He is fifty years old, and has been into priesthood for twenty one years.

He is the third Bishop of the Batouri Diocese, that has a total of twenty parishes under its jurisdiction, with two Eucharistic Centers.
