Celebrating, Promoting and Consuming our Own: Meet International Cameroonian Actor And Upcoming Producer Lynno Lovert, With Impressive Records In Nollywood

Lynno Lovert is a Buea based International Cameroonian actor, who has spread his wings into the neighbouring Nigeria Film Industry Nollywood.

Lovert got into the industry at a very tender age, and was blessed to work with Thomas Belton Achu of Blessed Memory.

His first starring on the big screen was in the movie 'Heavens Forbid' and in 2004, starred in 'Switching Hearts' and 'Mission to Damunza' all produced by the late Thomas Belton Achu.

In the middle of the shooting of 'Mission to Damunza' Lovert heard a Cameroonian actress saying some prominent actors from  Nollywood were to hold an audition in Buea, the capital of the South West Region of Cameroon.

He got  interested and traveled to Buea, where he was auditioned and had the privilege to meet Nollywood Top veteran actors like Olu Jacob, Zack Orji, Dakore Egbuson and Fred Amata

He fortunately found himself working with all the above mentioned Nollywood superstars in the movie titled 'Before the Sunrise' produced by Cameroonian movie boss Agbor Gilbert Ebot aka AGE and Nigerian Fred Amata.

'Before The Sunrise', the very first major collaboration between Nollywood and Cameroon’s budding English language film industry, ferried him unto the acting podium and break open doors for him in and out of the country, and he was privileged to be have been nominated as 'Best Child Actor' that year.

Talking about what he thinks about the Cameroon Movie Industry, Lovert had this to say: "Well, for most of my comeback to entertainment, I told myself to move pass the works I did in my teenage days, and coming back to the industry, I realized that, not every body had the same mentality. There is a lot of unprofessionalism in the movie sector. Screenwriters don't wanna study and perfect their craft. Producers don't wanna hire the right people to give them good quality made movies. Directors have little or no idea about their craft, poor lighting, actors don't even spend time with their scripts, nor try to interpret their characters properly. Everyone claims to know all. Actors cannot differentiate stage play from film etc.. so right now, if you ask me about the Cameroon film industry, I will say 'some of us got a long way to go.' I have mostly featured in films with international cast".

In 2014, Lynno Lovert took a spiritual break from the scene, and return not too long ago, in the much anticipated series 'Apple for Two' with Nollywood best clown Bishop Imeh and Ghanaian most beautiful Nadia Buari.

He is among the cast of the upcoming trending movie 'Little Cindy', produced by G-Class Entertainment and Sabuc Movies, premiering on May 11, 2018 at the Buea Chariot Hotel.

He is also in the cast of 'Ward Zee, and 'A Good Time to Divorce' with Senior actor Alenne Menget.

On a more personal note, Lynno Lovert just finished with screenwriting course, and is currently working on screenplay to make his debut as a Producer soonest.

He is single for now and probably searching(WHY NOT), hardworking devoted, and the father of a beautiful little girl.

Here are movies the actor has starred in.

" 'Before the Sunrise' with Papi Olu Jacobs, veteran Zack Orji, queen Dakore Egbuson, Nollywood big producer Fred Amata and some Cameroonian actors including Makossa heartthrob Jean Pierre Essome.

'The Blues Kingdom' with senior Nollywood actress Clarion Chukwura and Veteran Zacks Orji

'Land of Shadows' with African Bad boy Jim Iyke and Zacks Orji, then in 'Royal Destiny' with Emeka Ike, Actres/Philanthropist Tonto Dikeh.

'Pink Poison with Bad boy Jim Iyke, 'Blood or wine' with Jim Iyke and senior actress/producer Uche Jumbo.
'Decoded' with Ghanaian fine boy Van Vicker, 'My Gallery' with Ghanaian Big-boy John Dumelo, and 'Viri' the African Guest.

With his view on the Cameroon movie industry, and the rough ends he is smoothing up, Lynno Lovert dreams to become one of Cameroon's best home based producers.
