Government Confirms The Killing Of Three Gendarmes In Kembong Village During A Fierce Shooting Today 11th Of February 2018

Three gendarmes have reportedly been killed in Kembong village of the Manyu Division in the South West Region, where the military was carrying out an operation following a leaked information that the separatist forces were to strike.

On Friday Feb. 9, the Minister of Defense signed an internal note, ordering the military to open fire on the separatists, who rumours said were to attack and destabilize the National Youth day celebration of today February 11th, 2018 in the Anglophone Regions.

"We already have three gendarmes killed in Kembong. There was an attack, which was brought under control. The perpetrators of this crime have already been arrested". Colonel Didier Badjeck spokesperson of the Cameroonian Defense Force  confirmed to AFP.
