Batibo Has A new DO. The Former One Abducted On February 11, Is Still In The Hands Of His Kidnappers

The Governor of the North West Region Adolphe Lele L'Afrique yesterday Wednesday February 14, 2018 installed an interim DO for Batibo in the person of Ernest Nkwandze, appointed by President Paul Biya, to replace Marcel Namata, who was abducted on Feb. 11, 2018 by unknown gun men.

Governor Lele L'Afrique told the press that he went Batibo to be close to the situation. " I went to Batibo to be close to the situation. This visit enabled me to comfort the family of the abducted DO." The Governor said.

He also indicated that he had working visits with traditional rulers and military officials in the Batibo sub-division. " Traditional rulers as well as the population must work in collaboration with the security forces, by providing them with reliable information, especially at this time that that we are still looking for the DO.' He said.

The former DO of Batibo Marcel Namata Diteng was kidnapped on Sunday February 11, 2018 on his way to the ceremonial ground of the 52nd Edition of the National Youth Day. All efforts made by government to locate him have failed, and as it is alleged, the anglophone secessionists who arrested him, have plucked off his head from his neck.
