The Superintendent Of The Bamenda Central Prison Denies Access To The Ayah Foundation Who Brought Provisions For Anglophone Detainees -Video

 Central Prison with the provisions

The Bamenda Central prison Superintendent on Sunday January 14 2018, refused access to the Ayah Foundation, who brought food items, medication and clothing to assist inmates, especially those arrested and detained in connection with the ongoing Anglophone Crisis.

According to reports on Equinox Tv, the three man delegation stayed out for hours because the  prison officials said they should obtain authorization from Yaounde, and without the said authorization, they cannot be granted access into the detention center.

The Superintendent claimed the Foundation notified them of their visit just one day before their arrival, making it difficult for them to schedule their visit.

Ayah Ayah Abine, son of veteran politician retired Justice Ayah Paul Abine, who is the President of the Foundation, and who was part of the delegation said it is only in Bamenda that they meet such stiff colonial rules, because they have been visiting detainees in the Yaounde Kondengui Central prison and the Buea Cntral prison hitch free.
