Former Head Coach of the Cameroon National Football Team Hugo Bross, who was fired by the Barrister Happi's led FECAFOOT Normalization Committee last December 4, 2017 say he will drag FECAFOOT to court for Breach of contract.
The year 2017 started on a very bright note for the Belgian national, who led the Indomitable Lions to Gabon for 2017 African Nations Cup, and gloriously brought the trophy home, after the Lions beat the Pharaohs of Egypt 2-1, in the finals.
Bross' contract was verbally extended by the Minister of Sports and Physical education Pierre Ismael Bidoung Mpkatt, for another eighteen months, after he brought the trophy that Cameroon has been fighting to grab for fifteen years. In the verbal agreement, Bross' contract in Cameroon would have ended after the 2019 AFCON organised by Cameroon.
Months passed, but the written contract was never drawn. The 65 years old ex-coach is said to have told 'Jeune Afrique' magazine that he gave a deadline to the Minister to have it done, failure of which he will consider himself free at the end of the previous contract. But on Dec.4, the FECAFOOT normalization committee announced the termination of his contract prematurely, on account that he 'failed to qualify the Indomitable Lions for the 2018 World Cup' and that he made 'sarcastic declarations during a press conference.'
Well, Bross does not intend to take the matter lightly, as he says he will fight FECAFOOT for Breach of Contract and also for his two months unpaid salary worth close to 62 million F CFA, and he also hope to be paid damages in the procedures.
