Minister Tchiroma Confirms The Escalation Of The Anglophone Crisis. Says Government Is Preparing To Retaliate


Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary has confirmed the escalation of the Anglophone crisis, and says government is preparing to retaliate.

The mouthpiece of the government was speaking to RFI today Thursday Nov. 30th, 2017 during an interview, and did not chew his words while answering questions. "Yes, there is escalation, we are perfectly aware that their assassinations are increasing. But the government will not sit and fold its arms. The government is preparing itself to retaliate, and stand up to its responsibility, which is to bring back calm and peace in these regions of our country.' He said.

Minister Tchiroma was granting the interview, following the killings of four soldiers in Mamfe at the wee hours of Nov. 29th, 2017 . Sergeant Teh Julius, Caporal-Chief Foula Foula, Yinda and Noutchoumwo were killed and their guns and other weapons taken away.

According to the Minister, perpetrators of these heinous crimes are 'terrorists,' who have "barbarously, violently murdered four compatriots whose responsibility is to protect the territorial integrity of our Nation.'

Tchiroma had not gotten the news of that 5 other soldiers were killed last night in Otu, a village in the Manyu Division during is interview. While he was talking of 8, the number of military victims have climbed to 13.
