Military Thugs Raid Homes In Bafia & Muyengue, And Seize Farming Tools, Claiming They Are War Weapons

The military thugs stationed to guard the population of the South West Region of Cameroon have been raiding homes, collecting farming tools, and exposing to the world that they are war weapons.

In an early morning raid on Sunday Nov. 12, 2017, in Bafia and Muyengue villages, in the Muyuka neighborhood, the military thugs seized the items photo in this article. Cutlasses, farming hoes, kitchen and bush knives, hammers, nails, hunting guns, axes etc.. The raid was carried out by about 800 military men.

"We broke into homes as early as 4 a.m and began searching them. Apart from weapons that we seized, we arrested about 15 persons. The weapons seized have been sent to the appropriate quarters, where investigations have been opened." A military source told 'Le Jour' newspaper on kiosk today Nov. 14, 2017.

The paper further reports that the population of Bafia & Muyenge have mounted checkpoints to search vehicles that comes in and goes out of their locality. They go violent when they discover any military officer who might betray them on board the vehicles. "The checkpoint controllers collected 50 000F CFA from a truck driver right infront if us. All vehicles transporting goods to Douala are inspected by them. The controllers discovered a Gendarme in one of the vehicles, and killed him." Another military source claimed.

The paper furher reports that since Muyengue has no Gendarme Brigade or Police station, the people there have installed their own police station in a school, and also have their Divisional Officer. They have a whole administration that is not known by the government.
