The Littoral wing of the Social Democratic Front - SDF is putting up one and two together to ensure that the Saturday Oct. 21st 2017 march in solidarity with the people of the two English speaking Regions  victims of military brutality on the of Sept. 22nd, and Oct. 1st, 2017 records a resounding victory.

According to Hon. Jean Michel Nintcheu, President of the Littoral wing of the party, 50 000 participants are expected to take part in the manifestation that will start from the Douala Omnisport Stadium, right up to Carrefour Ecole Publique Deido, and end with a rally.

"Herve Nkom, militant for the ruling CPDM party, bluffed over Canal 2 televison channel that he mobilized 20 000 CPDM militants in Douala, during the Oct. 1 manifestation, which was not true. The CPDM party house in Bonanjo cannot house 5 000 people. It is a challenge. But I think we will mobilize 50 000 people. We are seriously preparing. We might even invite other political leaders. Some MPs and Senators of the SDF will also be there."Hon. Nitcheu told 'Le Jour' newspaper on phone.

According to Hon. Nintcheu, the SDO for Douala 1 Jean Marie Tchakui approved SDF's request for the manifestation without the usual complications, because he had no choice, since he recently approved a similar request for the CPDM party to manifest on Oct.1
