CAMTEL Disconnects Orange From Its Optical Fiber Because Of A Close To Two Billion Francs Debt

Cameroon Telecommunication  - CAMTEL, has disconnected ORANGE Cameroon from its optical fiber, due to a long outstanding invoice of 1 640 771 753 F CFA(One Billion, six hundred and forty million, seven hundred and seventy one thousand, seven hundred and fifty three Francs).

This explains why ORANGE services have been a big headache to subscribers since yesterday Oct. 6, deadline which CAMTEL gave them to settle the bill or face the consequences.

Meanwhile earlier today, Orange sent a message to its subscribers, informing and apologizing for the instability of their services, which they say is  due to the rupture of the optical fiber.
