Rumours Of Another Internet Cut The North West And South West Regions Of Cameroon Persists

Just like in January, when rumours made rounds that government was going to shut down internet in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon, and which they did and kept the people in a digital dark for close to four months, a similar rumour is already making rounds like wild fire, that the Cameroon government will again shut down the internet come September 1, 2017.

According to gossips in the high place a reliable friend of the Minister of Post and Telecommunications hinted sources that the Presidency has once more ordered Telecommunication operators to shut down the internet in the two anglophone regions of the country, with CAMTEL to take the lead to ensure no operator is cheating.

This desperate move according to various sources is to keep the social media and the world out of the scene, during the school reopening drama that will be unfolding come September 4th 2017.

In Cameroon, there is never a smoke without fire. Let's wait and see.
