Government Disburses 371 Million Francs For 400 More Soldiers To Be Deployed To The Anglophone Regions Tomorrow August 26, 2017

The government has disbursed the sum of 370 460 000 FCFA(Three Hundred and Seventy Million Four Hundred and Sixty Thousand Francs), for the deployment of an additional 400 military men to the North West and South West Regions, following the uncertainty of school resumption come September 4, 2017.

According to the note here attached, signed by Jean Baptist Bokam, Secretary of State for Defense to the Minister of Defense Minister Joseph Beti Assomo, President Paul Biya has ordered that strict measures be taken to ensure a smooth resumption of classes in the anglophone regions, amidst the heavy crisis plaguing these two regions.

According to the note, 959 military men have already been deployed, and 400 hundred others are needed to raise the number to 1359 so that the defense team will be tight enough to resist any commotion.

These 400 soldiers will be arriving the anglophone regions tomorrow August 26, and will be there for the next 128 days, meaning the coming days will be characterized by massive arrests in the two regions.
