Reports from the Yaounde Kondengui central prison relays that one of Consortium's jailed leader Dr. Fontem A Neba, who has been in solitary confinement for the past 33 days is very sick and needs medical intervention.

Dr. Fontem and Barrister Agbor Balla have been deprived of visits from relatives and friends since July 7 2017, when they were dragged from their little airy cell rooms to individual dark airtight rooms, where they sleep on bare floor.

According to Bareta news, making available this information, lawyers of the Cameroon Bar Association openly decried this action by the regime last weekend  during the Annual Conference in in Port Harcourt Nigeria.

During the Conference, the President of the African Bar Association whose Vice is the incarcerated Barrister Agbor Balla, called on President Paul Biya to release all detained anglophones, and condemned the solitary confinement of the jailed Consortium leaders.

Dr. Fontem's failing health is atributed to the dark solitary room, that has been his home for the past 33 days counting, and sources say he is having difficulties in breathing as well, and needs urgent medical intervention before it gets out of hand.
