More Kidney Patients Die, As Others Bar Entrance To Yaounde General Hospital, After Minister Mama Fouda's Recent Lies On The Availability Of Dialysis Kits

Patients with kidney failure this day July 20th 2017, blocked the entrance of the Yaounde Central Hospital, to decry the fact that they are dying in numbers because of lack of dialysis kits.

Not up to a month, a similar manifestation was carried out at the same venue and the Minister of Public Health Andre Mama Fouda went to meet the angry patients, promising that he and the government were working hard to bring a long lasting solution to their problems.

One week after, Minister Mama Fouda announced that 400 dialysis kits had been distributed to hospitals around the country, but the patients say they have not been dialysed for weeks because the hospital says they have water but the kits are not available.

This reality contradicts Minister Mama Fouda's declarations, reason why the patients say they cannot keep relying on Mama Fouda's lies, and they need an immediate solution.

One patient said he is supposed to be dialysed 3 times a week, but for the past month, he is only able to receive one session a week.

The past three weeks have been filled with fear for patients, who say 12 other patients have died over the last three weeks.

Minister Mama Fouda is yet to come up with another elastic promise.
