Minister Alain Edgar Mebe Ngo'o Wanted By The French Police For Corrupting Foreign Public Agents

Reports says Cameroon's Minister of Transport Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o is wanted by the French Police for questioning relating on scandal where he bribed a French public agent during fraudulent purchases of military equipment for the Cameroon Army when he was Minister of defense.

According to french based newspaper 'Lepoint' reporting the scandal, Minister Mebe Ngo'o had a gang with members like Colonel Mboutou(Mebe Ngo's right hand man who was caught with a briefcase of millions of Euros in a hotel in France last year) who at the time of the crime was the Purchase Manager of the Cameroon army, together with Maxime Mbangue who too at that time was the Number One Technical Adviser of the then Minister of Defense Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o.

These gang corrupted Robert FranchittiDirector of MagForce, a French based Company specialized in the sale military equipment and accessories in 2015, by asking him to give them commissions, a deal to supply the Cameroon Army with everything it needed, right up to its boots.

The paper reports that the Mebe Ngo's gang got huge sums of money and gifts in kind including expensive suits, night club outings with expensive champagnes  from Robert Franchitti as commission for supply contract, and also asked him to over bill the government on eventual purchases.

The French Police is therefore accusing Minister Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o of 'corrupting foreign public agents', and wants him arrested for that.

It should be recalled that one of Gabonese State Baron Maixent Accrobessi, former Director of Cabinet of Ali Bongo was once arrested by the French police in a similar matter.

The French Police have been investigating Minister Mebe Ngo'o for the past four years, considering him as fraudster and a corrupt leader.

This scandal is coming up at a time when the accused Minister is travelling to Antananarivo in Madagascar for a 'Civil Aviation Summit', and from there will travel to France, where he might get arrested.
