Catholic Bishops Files Case Against Killers Of Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala And Announces His Funeral Program

The Catholic church represented by His Lordship Archbishop Samuel Kleda, Archbishop of the Douala Metropolitan and President of the National Episcopal Council of Cameroon, His Lordship Archbishop Bishop Jean Mbarga Archbishop of the Yaounde Metropolitan, His Lordship Kome Abraham Bishop of Bafang and Apostolic Administrator of the Bafia Diocese, this day, 17th July 2017, at the Yaounde General Hospital, 'identified the body' of their colleague Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala, who according to them was brutally murdered in the early hours of June 2nd 2017 and thrown into the River Sanaga at Ntsang Village Monatele, in the Lekie Division.

In a Press Release issued by the National Episcopal Council of Cameroon and signed by its President Samuel Kleda, the Senior Shepherds of the Catholic church in Cameroon confirm that the body of late Bishop Bala has been handed over to them for funeral arrangements, which have scheduled for August 2nd and 3rd 2017.

The Press Release further states that the church is  filling a case against X, killers of Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala, stressing that the case file will be handed to their lawyers, who during the hearing will reveal the truth.

Calling on Christians, sympathizers and well wishers to remain united, and hopeful  while mourning, the Clergymen also asked Christians to pray for the repose of the soul of the Late Prelate, and to pray even more for the christian community of Bafia, that is more affected by this lose.
