Catholic Bishops Challenge Biya, And Maintain That Bishop Bala Was Brutally Assassinated

We announced this morning that the Catholic Church will be facing the Press today at the National Episcopal Head quarters in Mvolye Yaounde today Saturday July 8 2017, and that one of the most burning issues that all ears were itchy to hear was whether or not the church would bow to government's post mortem reports on the late Bishop of Bafia, published on July 4, 2017, where they declared that  a team of Interpol Medical Doctors concluded that 'there were no traces of violence on Bishop Bala's body, and rather that he might have probably drowned to death'.

The church had been silent after this 4th July report, and what was more intriguing was their silence when they gathered on July 5 2017, to consecrate and install the new Bishop of the Yokadouma Diocese, in the presence of  top government officials.

During the press outing this morning, following the ongoing Assembly of the 11th Ordinary session  of the Association of Episcopal Conferences of  Region(AECCAR), the Bishops maintained their stance louder and clearer, that the Bishop of Bafia, His Lordship Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala was brutally assassinated, thereby openly contradicting and challenging the State's own point of view.

Meanwhile President Paul Biya is expected to address the Bishops during the Assembly, come Monday July 10, 2017.
