Bishops Say They Saw Traces Of Violence On Bishop Bala's Body, And That They Have Not Yet Received His Body, While Maintaining He Was ASSASSINATED. Read Their Release
The National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon under the leadership of the Archbishop of the Douala Metropolitan His Lordship Samuel Kleda has published a Press Release, in which they maintain their colleague Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala was ASSASSINATED.
The release that was signed in Yaounde yesterday July 10 2017, discredits the press release from the State Prosecutor of 4th July 2017, insinuating the 'Bishop probably drowned to death'. The Bishops say their strong stance that their colleague was murdered, is based on the fact that 'they saw marks of physical violence on his body', when he was brought to the banks of the Sanaga and at the mortuary.
The Senior Clergymen of the Catholic Church in Cameroon said they will only receive the mortal remains of the late Bishop, after it must have been identified.
