93 Years Old President Mugabe Says He Is Still Fit To Rule Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has dismissed calls for him to name his successor, saying he is very fit to continue ruling.
Speaking during a rally in the town of Chinhoyi, in his home province, Mugabe said he was of sound health.
The 93-year-old leader has been in charge since Zimbabwe’s independence from Britain in 1980.

Recently, his wife Grace challenged him to name his preferred successor, to end divisions over the future leadership of ZANU-PF, but Mugabe insists there is no one with his political stature to take over from him.
Mugabe’s health has been a subject of debate. He has traveled to Singapore three times this year, for what officials say is routine medical treatment.
