Tax Collector Of Ebolowa Urban Council Dies In The Government Delegate's Office, Where He Went To Ask For His Three Months Unpaid Salary

The Tax Collector of the Ebolowa Urban Council  David Ekoman is reported to have died in the office of Guy Roger Zo'o OloumanGovernment Delegate, where he went to ask for his three months salary.

David Ekoman was the Tax Collector of the Oyenga market in Ebolowa, Southern Region of the country. 

Reporting on the incident, 'Le Jour' newspaper relayed that On Friday June 9 2017, Justin Armand Belinga Ekoman teacher of Government School Alam and nephew of the late David their correspondent that David Ekoman has been seriously sick for a while, without any financial assistance from his employer the Council.

He had equally not been paid for three months, which made it impossible for him to get a proper medical attention.

David decided to drag his sick body on that fateful Friday June 9, to go and do a sit-in infront of the office of the Government Delegate, in a bid to draw sympathy from his boss, and get some money to go to the hospital, but unfortunately, death met him right in the Government Delegate's office.

There was panic in the corridor, as even the Communication Manager of the Council, acknowledged that the late  50 years old David Ekoman was very sick. He said the Council was going through rough times, and that they had already began a procedure for payment at the level of the treasury in Yaounde.
