Panthere Du Nde's Player Accused Of Stealing Club's Furniture In Exchange For His Six Months Salary

A Central Defense striker  of Pathere Sportive du Nde, Michel Atangana is said to have burgled the association's head quarters, over the weekend to forcefully get himself paid of his six months salary arrears.

Sources relay that Michel was called up to play the match between his club Panthere Sportive du Nde and PWD over the weekend, to mark the 19th day of play for the Elite Two championship. Michel did not answer present on the eve of the match at Hotel Elegancia situated at the Mandja neighborhood of Bangangte.

His absence was justified by the fact that he is unhappy with his team officials who owes him six months of unpaid salary, plus unpaid allowances from other previous matches. The angry player broke into the offices of Pathere's head quarter, where he made away with a plasma screen, mattresses and chairs.

It is only when the players and the club officals got to Bafoussam that they discovered what happened on the night of the 23rd to the 24th of June 2017.

When contacted on phone by a player and one of the team officials, Michel Atangana accepted that he actually broke into the offices, and made away with the things they declared missing.  He said he had gone back to his family in Yaounde and insisted that he wanted his full salary worth 850 000 F CFA, in exchange for their stuff.

The former Director General of Panther du Nde Calvin Djapa, instead of looking for a remedy to the situation lashed out on the Coach Stephane Ndzana for allegedly recruiting armed robbers in the name of footballers, who steals the assets of the club. He threatened that Michel will soon hear from them, and that they must take the matter to court.
