The four suspects(two cooks, night watchman and driver)  of late Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Bala who were arrested on June 2 2017, following ongoing investigations relating to his assassination have been released from the police cell.

Sources say even though they were released on bail, they remain under judicial investigation by the State Counsel General of the Yaounde Court of Appeal.

The late Prelate's night watchman Ibrahim A and driver Mathieu N. were arrested, hours after his lifeless body was pulled out from the banks of the River Sanaga in the Tsang village at Monatele.

Last week, the two cooks of the Bishop were equally arrested and thrown into the police cell, but looks like they are innocent after all.

Meanwhile, the funeral programme of the late Bishop is still unknown, since the church has stood its grounds that until government gives detail account of his death, his body will remain in the mortuary.
