Former Boss of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) , Cameroonian born Issa Hayatou has bragged that his recent appointment by President Biya is a 'Challenge' to the African Community, who pushed him down from  CAF's glorious throne through mafia.

The newly appointed Board Chairman of the National Football Academy told pressmen and women that he doesn't regret the fact that he lost the elections to Madagascan Ahmad Ahmad, but regrets the fact that red joker cards and underground work by external forces were used to get rid of him.

According to him, the present CAF President was 'no match' to him during the  16 march 2017 elections, if there weren't external manipulative influences. "I am not sad that I lost the elections. But I am very upset with the way it was done. Honestly, I don't see who can beat me at the level of CAF. But there were external forces that got involved with the General Assembly, who could not vote me again". The 76 years old  lamented.

He said even his close relations knew he wanted to resign from CAF after the 2019 African Cup of Nations, to be hosted by Cameroon, and that it was only for that reason that he decided to run the 16 march 2017 race, which unfortunately did not favour him.

Concerning his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Board of the National Football Academy, by President Biya, Issa Hayatou bluffed that it is a well deserved "Golden Retirement Gift' from his godfather President Paul Biya, and that it is a 'challenge' that Biya has sent to the African Community. "You know that we are from an election where I lost. The President of the Republic, by this appointment, is proving to the world that Cameroon needs its son" Issa Hayatou bragged, promising not to disappoint President Biya in his new assignment.
