Security workers of ESSOKA Security take their employers hostage as they strike over unpaid salaries

Reports from Equinox TV says workers of the Essoka Security Company this day Friday Dec. 16th 2016, took their turn to voice out their accumulated grievances of months of unpaid salaries.

The workers went rampage, because of the many unfulfilled promises that their officials have been giving them. Among the many lies told to the workers before they went rampage was the fact that the administration of Essoka Security told the workers that they had started paying some workers and money got finished, or that there were errors in the names of some workers who have been with  them for years or that money is blocked up in Bamenda due to the strike.

The workers ramsacked office premises, and held some officials hostage, locking them in their offices.

All attempt by the source to get Essoka's version of the story proved abortive, and from the look of things, the workers are not ready for any more empty promises. They what their money or heads will roll.

It should be noted that the maximum salary paid by Essoka Security to its workers is 50 000F CFA monthly.
