Reports says travelers wanting to enter the North West Capital City of Bamenda are stranded, as the Chief Administrative authority Adolphe Lele L'Afrique have given instructions that people should not enter the town of Bamenda.

All roads from Nkambe in the Donga and Mantung Division and Jakiri in Bui Division into Bamenda town have been blocked by the military, also major roads into Bamenda town are fully controlled by men in uniform.
Travelers from Nkambe and Jakiri were forced to make a U-turn early Tuesday December 27, 2016.
A traveler from Ndu, Tata Sharick WEYI who was denied entry into Kumbo said, “I just witnessed it, I’m on my way back home as the men in uniform will not let us pass. I’m going back to Ndu, was blocked and told roads will only pass by 6pm. Even patients on their way to the hospital were stopped and sent back.”
The SDO of Bui had dully instructed that all movements to Bamenda this morning be blocked.. According to Martin Fon Yembe the SDF Mayor for Ndu, “even mayors of North West who had a meeting today in the North West chief town have been blocked and sent back by  gendarmes and police”.
The reason for this situation is the fact that government is afraid the youths might invade the premises of the ongoing Prime Minister Yang's Ad Hoc Committee and disrupt it.
Stay tuned for details.
