The All Anglophone Teachers Union have denied Prime Minister Philemon Yang's hand shake, by refusing to call off the indefinite strike, despite the PM's order for an ad hoc inter-ministerial committee.

Holding their grounds in a just ended meeting held in Bamenda today Dec 2 2016, the Teachers Union said the PM's document was not legal binding, had no time frame for implementation and looks like one of government's fake promises.

They accused the government of inflicting harsh treatment on the anglophones and demand the immediate and unconditional release of all detained UB  students, as well as the immediate withdrawal of troops from the Molyko Buea Campus.

Prime Minister Philemon had on November 30th 2016, issued out an unsigned government press release, where the Head of State is disbursing 2 000 000 000 F CFA(Two Billin Francs) to lay private and denominational institutions, as well as recruiting 1000 Bilingual teachers with Technical and Scientific background.

See their letter to the Prime Minister below.
