Cameroon - Church News - Assistant Mayor dies in church during prayers

Ekanga Mba's corpse being carried from the church

The 1st Assistant Mayor of Mouloundou, a town in the Boumba-et-Ngoko Division of the East Region of Cameroon  is dead.

Ekanga Mba  died yesterday Wednesday Nov. 2nd, during a deliverance service at the local Cameroon Evangelic Church, where he was a member.

The 1st Assistant Mayor has been sick for months and was on treatment, when his family decided to carry him to church for deliverance, hoping that the spirit of sickness will be expelled from him.

It is during this prayer session that he gave up the ghost.

The Pastor of the church who is of Congolese nationality was arrested and  locked up. He is being auditioned by the State Counsel of the Yokadouma Court.

Many witnesses say it is not the first time a member of this church has died during deliverance.
