AFWCON 2016 Buses Panel-Beated in Kamer - The highly propagated imported buses from Portuguese car manufacturer, turns to be *Made in Cameroon'

On Tuesday August 30, 2016, the Cameroon Government represented by Minister Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o and the Yaounde City Council signed a convention with  Irmaos Mota Construçao de Carroçarias a Portuguese based Car manufacturer to supply buses that will ensure massive urban transportation in the cities of Yaounde and Limbe, during the upcoming Female African Cup of Nation.

These buses were to be manufactured in Portugal with specific requirements, according the Transport Minister's explanation at that time

Looks like this has turn out to be a total sham, as the images in this post shows that the buses to be used for these competition are repaired buses owned by local transport agencies, whose names are visibly clear on the re-painted buses.

These buses that are in different garages in Yaounde and Douala, are receiving final local touches and are said to be delivered to the government who will present them to the public as 'Made in Portugal'.

Is this not a disgrace?

HTL reporter remember when  transport Minister Edgar Alain Mebe Ngo'o said in August that the services of these nyangnyang buses will not only be limited to the AFCON 2016 period, but will also go beyond that to ensure inter-city exploitation.

If they knew we had expert local 'panel-beaters', why then were they brandishing that  fake propaganda?

Will these buses be returned to where ever they have been borrowed from after the event, or will government own it? Lol

More photos after the cut........................

Ehhh anti ..
