AFCON 2016 - The Indomitable Lionesses bow to baby Tanzania in a 1-2 defeat friendly match

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon

The Indomitable Lionesses this afternoon bowed to their Tanzanian counterpart to conceive a 1-2 defeat in favour of the Tanzanians during a friendly match at the Amadou Ahidjo's Stadium in Yaounde.

The Lionesses had defeated the Twiga Stars 2-0 during the first leg of the match, but could not prove their superiority during the return leg.

The match that was not as easy as supporters thought, saw the Lionesses confront a tough, well prepared and resistant Tanzanian team, with a beautiful pass between Michelle Mani and Agnes Nkada that threw the adversary's goalie  to make a goal for the Green, Red, Yellow girls.

The goal sounded as a wake up call to the Tanzanians, who equalized just the next minute, and doubled their courage. While the Lionesses were  digesting the equalizing goal, the Twiga Stars were strategizing their moves, as their attacker dealt with goalkeeper Anne Ngo Ndom, to score goal number TWO before half time

The second half of the match ended with a no goal, leaving the scoreboard at 1-2.

Just 6 days to the start of the African Women Nations Cup, the Lionesses seem less prepared, or can we say they are saving their energies for the real deal? Then let's just wait and see.
