Cameroon - Eseka Train Accident - Biya's Government cries for help from Godfather-France to assist victims

France offering Medical kits to Minister Andre Mama Fouda of Public Health

The Biya's Government has cried and received medical kits and drugs needed to treat injured victims of last Friday's Train crash in Eseka from Godfather-France.

"In response to the medical aid requested by the Cameroon Government, French Ambassador to Cameroon this day on behalf of the French Government is handing medical kits and drugs to Cameroon to support  injured victims of the Eseka train crash" French Ambassador to Cameroon announced.

Government sources say the crash killed 76 persons, while 559 others were injured, and President Biya promised that the Government will support all the medical expenses of the victims. But in most of the Health Units were the victims are receiving treatment, there are shortages or no drugs to survive the patients, and Doctors are asking patients and their relatives to buy drugs from the pockets.

"The Doctor has asked me to go to the pharmacy and buy my drugs, and that the State will reimburse me later". Declared a victim at the Laquintinie hospital in Douala.

We hope this aid from France will bring new rays of hopes to the treating Health Units who were out of medications to assist the victims.
