His Excellency President Paul Biya has been compensated by the Issa Hayatou's Foundation, for his actions in maintaining Peace and stability in Cameroon and Africa as a whole.

This announcement was made today Oct. 10 2016, at a Press Conference in the Hilton Hotel Yaounde, regrouping members of the said Foundation.

During the Press Conference, The President of the Foundation Issa Hayatou, who is also the Incumbent President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) explained the reasons why President Paul Biya was the most eligible Recipient for this Trophy.

"The Laureate for the 2015 Trophy was chosen by the Committee regarding the numerous actions carried out by this illustrious son of Africa. Among others: the great stability of peace for many decades and the daily  prosperity of his country, the perfect harmony in which his people live in, his great experience of good governance of the state which has enabled his country to register real hopes of emergence, liberty of expression, protection of human lives and the free circulation of people and goods in his country, the proper functioning of institutions of the Republic which assures partners of the development of the country, the recovery of Bakassi through force and dialogue which he alone had the secret, his determination for peace in his country and in the Grand Lake Region to the profit of the entire African continent, the attribution of CAN 2016 and 2019 to his country etc..", are all the attributes which the Foundation took into consideration before  honoring
President Biya with this Award.

According to officials, the Issa Hayatou Foundation is a an International NGO whose non lucrative objective is geared towards social and humanitarian services. The Association lives on gifts, aids and contributions from members and men of good will.

The ever First Edition of this Award was given to President Faure Gnassingbe of Togo in 2013. In 2014 , it went to Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea and now, the  2015 Edition  has been given to President Paul Biya of Cameroon, which I think its right.

The presentation of this Trophy came up in time, to shut mouths from asking why the German Chancellor Angela Merkel did not include Cameroon in her 2016 African Peace Tour, and cover cover up the topic.

'Congrats Pa Paul, despite everything, Cameroonians are living in Peace, but not in harmony'.
